The main house comprises of 4/5bedrooms, office, farmhouse kitchen with open fireplace, large utility room, sitting room with french doors, and chestnut flooring, spacious bathroom with wetroom/shower, separate toilet. There is a river with sandy beach (and lifeguard in July/August) with riverside café/bar, churches (including a famous underground church), doctors surgery, good schools. Canoe and bike hire is available.
5kms from the village of Saint Romain with a thriving community. Mini supermarket, 2 restaurants and a bar. St Romain has an excellent, primary school. Good collèges and Lycées can be found in Montmoreau, Chalais, Riberac or St Aulaye.
Golf course with tennis courts, great restaurant and regular entertainment in summer is 5kms away.
