The Village of Montjaux has 2 restaurants, grocery shop, bar, cafe, with visiting Fishmonger, Baker and Butcher vans. The village is situated within the very popular holiday area of the Tarn Valley, close by are the ancient Knights Templar Fortresses, the Roquefort Caves, the Millau Viaduct and the Lakes of the Midi Pyrenees with easy access to cycling, fishing, sailing, swimming and walking.
It is only a short drive to Millau town, which is one of France's principle centres for outdoor sports (rock climbing, paragliding, hanggliding, kayaking) and now famous for its spectacular viaduct. The scenery around is stunning, especially the Tarn, Dourbie and Jonte gorges which are just a short drive away.
The autoroute takes you to Montpellier and the sea in 1 hour. Rodez airport is just over an hour away.
