The 17th century Manor house was built in 1613 from local granite and oak. It is situated in a hamlet called Gioux in La Creuse (the lake district of France) part of the Limousin. The house has large rooms with an abundance of oak beams and panelling. 2 of the 3 reception rooms have log fires and although the house has radiators in every room they are never used as the fires heat the whole house. The entire house is double glazed and has been rewired and modern plumbing has been installed in the last 3 years. The renovation has been done to a very high standard by local Artisans and has retained all original features.The house is ideal for B&B and Gite rental.
