This large house is situated at the edge of the village of St Martin La Meanne. The rooms are large with high ceilings and the stone walls ensure it is cool in the summer. It has fuel central heating for the winter. The kitchen is spacious and is separated from the dining area by a breakfast bar. Access to the garden is via the kitchen door and front door. The garden surrounds the house and has sunny and shady areas at all times of day. The village is full of beautiful old houses and an old church. The surrounding area is very green, wooded and mountainous.

The village is five minutes away on foot with two restaurants, one of which is of very good standing. There is a grocery store, a Post Office and a small school. A municipal pool is 3 miles away. Free swimming is available in the lakes at Marcillac la Croisille and Lac de Feyt, both of which have sandy beaches and a restaurant. These lakes also have cordoned areas, perfect for children to stay in their depth. Some local lakes have water skiing and wind surfing available. There are many pleasant walks from the front door. You can also find swimming at the dam and go boating on the river with the local flat boat called Gabare.

Argentat is 15 minutes away and has one of the best Patisserie in the area! It also has many good restuarants, three supermarkets, many small shops, several banks, chemists, GP's, Dentists and a well stocked Tourist Office. Through the summer Argentat hosts large weekly markets. Tulle is 30 minutes away and has a good theatre with an art nouveau front. The Festival of Sediere le Chateau has high quality performances. You can also get to the Festival of La Vezere and the Festival of St. Cere. Brive, 45 minutes away, also has a very good theatre.

Many types of sporting facilities are available including horse riding, delta plane, canoeing, water skiing, wind surfing and fishing and Argentat has a small gym that can be joined for very little.

There a several organic farms in the area, one producing excellent organic goats cheese.

The house is situated in a rural area guaranteeing calm and peace.
