Details
A stunning, individual home looking outwards from the extreme southern edge one of the most delightful mountain villages in France. Having a protected and uninterrupted (save a few trees!) mountain view it is generally considered the finest house in the village.
It was totally redecorated and rewired in 2005/6 and it’s picturesque gardens have won various floral awards. The rocky river Cady tumbles past just 15m from the front door, making it appealing to a discerning potential purchaser who appreciates style and grace amid the majesty of it’s setting. Although its outlook is almost entirely rural, all the normal amenities are within 200m to the rear.
The village of Vernet les Bains has a population of 1500 and its remarkable micro climate caused it to be a favourite destination of the rich and famous in the early 20th century. It is within easy reach of both the Mediterranean and the ski slopes.
The central heating is oil, and the boiler renewed 5 years ago.
It has been run as a low-key B&B for the last 5 years and the three bedrooms that were used for let are all en suite and have televisions receiving both French and English programmes.
